Alumnus Jason Redd mentors graduate health administration students

Bloustein School alumnus Jason Redd, Esq. BS (Public Health) ’01, MCRP ’04 guest lectured in a Leadership and Development class on Thursday, October 10. A required course for all students in the Master’s of Health Administration program, Leadership and Development provides students the opportunity to examine case studies that demonstrate various leadership styles, traits, and strategies used for complex problem-solving while learning to develop and plan actions for change and perform evaluations of each case’s viability.

Jason, who is currently Director, Government & Regulatory Affairs with Gibbons Law, discussed health policymaking and led students in role-playing current, real-life issues at the forefront of the state and national stages.

Prior to joining Gibbons, Jason served as Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel to the New Jersey Senate Majority Office and served as Senior Counselor to the Senate President and Chief of Staff to the Senate Majority Leader. In 2014, he was named the Bloustein School’s “Young Alumni of the Year.”

Executive in Residence Stephen K. Jones, LFACHE, is one of several instructors teaching the Leadership and Development courses within the graduate health administration program.
