In co-hosting the final debate before Election Day, Rutgers scholars worked to elevate the public policy discourse.
For the policy wonks from Bloustein, the focus will be on the candidates’ promises and how, after months of collaborating with ABC7/WABC-TV New York, 6abc/WPVI-TV Philadelphia, Noticias Univision 41, and the performing arts center, millions of New Jersey voters were better informed as a result.
Hosted by the Master of Public Informatics (MPI) program, the final round of the second annual RAISE-25 Informatics – Data Science competition was held Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Bloustein School. The competition challenge focused on “Our Future With AI: Utopian or Dystopian?”
Dr. Pipas discussed the importance of well-being and drivers of burnout for all health professionals. By applying evidence-based well-being strategies to advance personal health, she sought to help professionals create their own personal health improvement plan (PHIP) to sustain well-being over a lifetime.
“I feel like what this mission is doing is it’s sort of … embracing the community from the back and just giving it a big hug from Bloustein,” Richardson said.

The Bloustein School’s disability justice discussion aimed to raise awareness of ongoing issues and advocate for recognizing those with disabilities as deserving of equitable treatment and accommodations in all areas of life.
The panel underscored the importance of transportation safety and community engagement, agreeing that temporary demonstration projects, complete street policies, and incremental changes over time will help with both.
Henry Grabar explored the emotional attachment people have to parking spaces, citing anecdotes and the importance placed on those spaces, even to the point of deadly disputes, at the 2023 Meck Memorial Lecture.
